Cruel Summer

We all enjoy playing cricket, but it can be a real cruel game sometimes. Fielders dropping dollys off your bowling, being tonked on a flat wicket by a well set batter, or being judged lbw first ball by a clueless umpire,.. And when you hear that these (not so young) slips are back, singing live on tour, together again, for the first time in 30 years, and all the above is beginning to happen on a regualr basis, you could well be heading for a Cruel Summer...

Match reports 2017

V Navigators 3/5. The 2017 season has started. Broken grounds machinery resulting in a change of venue the day before the game, and the inevitable cold, cloud and rain (after the driest and sunniest of Aprils in decades) couldn't stop the now traditional seasons opener v The Navigators from taking place. Navigators 101 from 15, Leisure 102 from 14.3 overs. A win for the Leisure, with 3 balls remaining. Wendel 3 wickets and 27 runs. 2 catches for Jim. A first for Leisure, as the covers came on for 30 minutes whilst rain stopped play. Thanks to Frank for sorting us out with such short notice.
